MochaTracker ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of pet owners who use our app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using MochaTracker you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create a Premium account we collect your email address and payment details (processed securely via our payment provider — we never store raw card numbers).
Pet Health Data
Medication logs, bathroom records, weight entries, appetite notes, and vet history that you enter into the app. Free-plan data is stored locally on your device only. Premium data is encrypted and synced to our cloud servers.
Usage Information
Anonymised crash reports and feature-usage analytics to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you or your pet.
3. How We Use Your Information

- ✓ To generate vet-ready health reports when you request an export.

We do not sell your personal data or pet health records to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.
4. Data Storage & Security
Premium cloud data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Our servers are located in Australia. Free-plan data never leaves your device. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your cloud data is permanently erased within 30 days. You may export a copy of all your data at any time from the app's Settings screen.
6. Third-Party Services
We use a limited number of trusted third parties: a payment processor for Premium subscriptions and an error-reporting service for crash analytics. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location (including under New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020 and Australia's Privacy Act 1988) you may have the right to:

8. Children's Privacy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of MochaTracker after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
